The other night while singing on the riverwalk, I met a mother and son who were lost and asking for directions to the nearest wheelchair accesible exit from the river. They said that they had been given directions by three other people to no avail. Instead of just giving them further directions, I decided to escort them myself. I took this opportunity to get to know them better. The son suffered from some sort of disease that caused his speech to be slow and labored. Despite his limits, I was able to discern that he believed in Christ. I shared several scriptures with them and at the end of our journey, the young man laid hands on me and prayed a beautiful, spirit-inspired prayer over me and my ministry. The entire experience was a ture blessing. It's encounters like these that edify my soul in a way beyond description.
